Every child

deserves a childhood they will not need to recover from

Mission

We protect children from childhood trauma by equipping them, caregivers, schools, and communities with the tools and support needed to cope and create safe, healing environments where children can thrive.

Vision

We envision a world where every child experiences a safe, nurturing childhood they never have to recover from, and is free to thrive and reach their full potential.

Philosophy

We believe every child has the strength within them to overcome hardships, and by supporting them alongside their families, schools, and communities, we protect them from childhood trauma.

Approach

Because our founder is based in the same communities we serve, we are led from within, keeping our work grounded in real daily needs and directly accountable to the families we serve.

Pathways to a Better Tomorrow

Children do not grow in isolation. They grow inside families, classrooms, and communities that shape how they see themselves and the world.

In Rwanda, mental health has long been surrounded by silence, stigma, and fear, leaving many children and adults carrying invisible burdens. Yet research shows that difficult childhood experiences can affect well-being later in life, but with safe, supportive, and nurturing environments, children can heal and thrive.

The brain can still change. By protecting childhood today, we build stronger societies tomorrow.

When we protect childhood today, we build stronger societies tomorrow. Chase a Better Tomorrow supports children and families through community-based psycho-social care and access to basic services.

Our long-term goal

Chase a Better Tomorrow improves mental health awareness and access to early psycho-social support for children and caregivers. Through prevention and early intervention, we address violence, neglect, abuse, and harmful parenting practices. Helping children grow up safe and supported.

By protecting children, we help build stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities. Our work contributes to SDGs 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality education), 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and SDG 7 (Affordable and clean energy) through community-based care, child protection, and access to essential services.
